We are The Modest Merchant. Founded in London in 2018, we began by hand-delivering bottles to a handful of East London restaurants. Today, we supply exciting, accessible wines from small, responsible producers to the UK trade nationwide.
We partner with artisan wineries to bring their wines and their stories exclusively to the UK. From modern classics to forgotten grapes, we seek wines with bright fruit, balance and a genuine sense of place. We’re proud to stand behind every bottle and every winemaker we represent.
